Why are there seemingly two sets-of-rules for immigration? There seems to be one rule for people coming across our shared border with Mexico and another for everyone else coming into the US.
Why does the media, and for that matter politicians, completely ignore this?
The attitude toward people coming across the Mexican border seems to be, certainly from the democrats (and republicans don’t seem to be able to formulate a coherent response), is that we just have to let them in. Why don’t they have the same attitude toward people who want to come to the US from every other country around the world ? Geez, isn’t that discrimination – which I thought all democrats were against. Based on how democrats respond to the Mexican border, we should simply shut down the Federal Department of Immigration and Naturalization – so that we are fair to all.
Trump’s wife, a legal immigrant, said it best early in the Presidential campaign; she is for fair immigration. I think that should be the policy for everyone.
