Per an article in THE EPOCH TIMES, the state of Michigan has dropped its lawsuit against Michigan barber Karl Manke. Recall Mr. Manke had re-opened his barbershop despite the shut down order by Michigan Governor Whitmer.
2setsofrules wonders why the state would drop its lawsuit? The judge ruled the state failed to show how Mr. Manke’s barbershop could spread covid-19 around the state. If you had such a strong case, a case strong enough to shut down the entire state, why drop the lawsuit? Unless of course, your case was flimsy from the start.
Throughout the shutdown, Governor Whitmer, like many politicians across the country, liked to refer to “the science” was helping her make decisions. Never once did she offer details.
2setsofrules has a feeling the state didn’t have “the science” to back up its actions and therefore dropped the lawsuit. Which leads one to ask, how many small businesses were wrecked based on bad science?
