Why do prosecuting attorneys get away with breaking the law?

Here is an article from KMOV.com  regarding St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner not filing reports of trips she took that were paid for by lobbyists.

According to the article, the law states there is a $500 fine for not filing these reports.

Soooo, has she paid the fine?   If she didn’t file the reports, it’s plain: she’s guilty of violating the law.  Or do laws only apply to others in the case of prosecutors?

So even if she doesn’t want to apologize for taking the trips as the article states, which is fine, at least take responsibility for not filing your paper work as required.

Is that really too much to ask ??  Is it too much to ask they she hold herself accountable?

Now not so coincidentally to this post, Kim Gardner is the Circuit Attorney who wanted to charge the McCloskey’s – the couple who stood in front of their home holding guns while BLM protestors threatened them.    You can read a story about that here.
