From an article in justthenews.com a Federal judge has ruled as unconstitutional a moratorium issued by the CDC that put a halt to evictions due to Covid-19.
This is a victory for one set-of-rules – that is the rule of law.
Where in any law does it grant the power to the CDC to issue such a nationwide proclamation? If this was allowed to stand, the CDC could essentially control anything based on a stated health emergency.
The moratorium by the CDC was a classic example of overreach.
