My original post laid the blame for the Satan shoes at Nike’s feet (no pun intended).
Another company took Nike’s shoes and modified them.

2setsofrules apologizes for blaming Nike. In both articles that talked about the shoes, that were linked to in the original post, neither one made it clear the shoes had been modified by another company. It’s hard to tell if that was purposeful. Nike still shoulders the blame for cancelling the Betsy Ross shoes; maybe there are those who want to hurt Nike”s credit because of that and were more than happy to create the viewpoint the Nike made the Satan shoes.
