As a side note, for a long time 2setsofrules has thought that all names, that meet whatever requirements a university wants to set, go into a pool and admission is by lottery.
That would end all of this discrimination non-sense.
But then, the power that accrues to the admissions departments across the country would be gone. No more legacy admission. No more “my dad wrote a $20 million check” so I get in. No more I’m the President’s daughter so I get in.
