So the president states in a press conference that the US does not pay ransom and the payment of $400M to Iran at the same time hostages were released was pure coincidence. Yeah – I believe you. The State Dept this week admitted the $400M payment was ransom – but they didn’t use that word. Last I knew it was against the law to pay ransom – soooooooo, who violated the law, who loses their job, gets prosecuted – anything? By the time Congress gets around to looking into this, if history is any guide, it will be years down the road. We have slipped into being a banana republic. This administration does anything it wants with no accountability.

At least two more Americans have been taken hostage in the last week and the Iranians are demanding the return of $2B the US has for victims of Iranian sponsored terrorism – this president and his administration may think they are smarter than everyone else, or maybe that bad guys really do play by the rules, but in reality the world knows otherwise.
