Response to Trump’s immigration executive order

When former President Obama changed the wet foot/dry foot rule for Cuban’s that make it to the USA, and forced them to be deported back to Cuba, I don’t recall protests or outrage that we are now witnessing after President Trump’s recent executive order on immigration.  And,  Obama didn’t even give the Cuban (shall we say refugees) the option of being vetted and allowed into the US.  Isn’t deporting worse than vetting?

So why the 2setsofrules? In this case, 2setsofrules in terms of the response from the Democrat party and their supporters?  As I mentioned in my January 19th post, why are refugees from all around the world apparently welcome but somehow the Cubans are excluded?  Do you recall seeing protests around the country after Obama changed the rule toward Cubans?  Or Democrats making speeches about “thats not who we are” in response to the change in policy toward Cuban refugees?

More over, as mentioned on Twitchy, the Obama administration halted immigration from Iraq for 6 months in 2011.  Apparently for much the same reasons Trump is using to support his executive order.  I don’t seem to recall protests and Democrat party outrage when that ban took place either.

Politicians have got to be the worst in terms of 2setsofrules. Or at least it seems to be the most obvious.  They always want to have it both ways – and that goes for both parties.  And would it be too much to ask for the MSM to point this out?  Particularly with respect to the six month ban on Iraqis by the Obama administration in 2011.  When they don’t, it proves the media is also playing by 2setsofrules.
